Dr. Samar Faouri is a distinguished specialist in special education and disability assessment with extensive experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism across the Middle East. She holds a Master’s degree in Special Education, a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities, and a Doctorate (PhD) in the Assessment and Diagnosis of Intellectual Disabilities and Autism. Her academic and professional work focuses on improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through early diagnosis, educational support, and specialized intervention programs. Dr. Faouri is also the Founder of the Middle East Institute for Special Education, an institution dedicated to advancing professional knowledge, training educators, and developing modern approaches to disability support and inclusive education in the region. Throughout her career, she has contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at empowering families, educators, and communities to better understand and support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Her work emphasizes early intervention, scientific assessment methods, and inclusive educational systems that allow people with disabilities to reach their full potential. At Non Frontier Disabled, Dr. Samar Faouri serves as Regional Director for the Middle East, where she leads the organization’s programs across the region.
